How To Stop File From Automatically Opening To Print App

Why do I suddenly have to download pdf's attachments in gmail in order to print them?

I've tried numerous things i have found online but nothing worked to return it to the previous way of opening and printing.

I have not been able to find an answer to this either. My computer did the same thing after several recent updates. My computer defaulted to HP ePrint, so it wanted to download all files. After I reset my default printer to an actual printer, I still was required to download email attachments prior to printing them. I finally told one of my downloads to always open in adobe, and now they do open in adobe and I get to print without telling my computer where to save the attachment.
